My tips and Guide to buying and selling an embroidery machine.

Software:

Do your research before buying any. It’s a lot of money you might not need or want to spend.

Software helps you turn your own designs into stitch formats. This is called digitising. As a beginner you might just want to get used to the embroidery machine first. So don’t get sucked into believing you need digitising software at all. I’d say most (I’d say 90%) people don’t use it ever at all.

Editing software is the lesser software and about ¼ to ⅓ of the price of digitising software. That’s going to help you edit the size of the design move it around and create a scene, add fonts and text. Editing software is more likely what you’ll want and is used by most embroidery machine

However, in the meantime, you will need software to view files of the designs you might want to buy. Here are two available and popular options.

Software to view your purchased designs on your computer : links below

Truesizer from Wilcom is free

Thumbnailer from Embrilliance which costs something nominal.

For Mac or PC users

For Windows

Or look on your machine manufacturers websites. I don’t recommend softwares from machine manufacturers due to the huge costs and lesser content and one particular leading brand, huge and constant failings.
